Climbing Wall is rather Disappointing
by: Jennifer

Results advertises that they have a "superb climbing," moreover, that "this wall competitive with the "climbing only" facilities." As a new member at the Capitol Hill gym, I found both statements to be false. The climbing wall is in need of a MAJOR professional overhaul. The wall is covered with climbs that either end mid-way or are missing segments. This makes for a confusing and unpleasant climbing experience. I hope that management will seriously consider hiring a professional to re-set all the markers, hand holds and feet holds on the wall. In this way, the gym will encourage members to use the wall and learn the art of climbing. Otherwise, due to the clear lack of maintenance on the wall, Results should re-consider claiming that it is comparable with "climbing only facilities." I have been a member of SportRock and have frequented EarthTreks and other climbing only facilities around the country - and the Results wall does not reach that standard. It would be more appropriate for Results to compare its wall to those you might find at a fair or a shopping center. I would really like to enjoy my climbing experience at your gym. So, I hope you will consider this suggestion and make a noticeable effort to improve your climbing facilities. Response: Wow - talk about taking waht you read literally....our routes are professionally set - based on your feedback it seems it may be time for us to host a setting event with our climbing team. I will have the GM make it happen.

It would be great if you could offer an intro class to kettlebells to show how to properly use them in our workouts. Thanks Response: We are offering workshops for the next few weeks at all locations - check your club for time and trainer.

PLEASE purchase ~10 pilates reformers and offer 8-10 person small group classes and at additional charge. This investment will pay for itself in a matter of months!! Reformer pilates classes is the ONLY thing missing at the Dupont circle gym that would make this gym go from being great to the BEST! RESPONSE: Thank you for your positive suggestion, We would love to go from being Great to the BEST! Unfortunately we do not have the space required for the reformers at the U street club. Sorry.
